Description
Stainless steet plates may be positioned using spherical ceramic balls (BA parts). Balls allow closer hole alignment than rods, and generate structures which are inherently resistant to twisting. Balls have the disadvantages, however, of being considerably more expensive, harder to assemble, and less flexible with regard to plate spacing.
The choice between assembling structures using balls or rods, and the choice of means to secure rod ends when rods are used, generally depends on the application. It is often desirable to mix techniques.
