Experimental Physicists

Positions for BS/MS/PhD level Experimental Physicists with interest/experience in UHV Vacuum Systems, Electron/Ion Optics, Particle Beams, and Surface Physics.  Experience with solids model design and shop procedures a help.  Recent graduates encouraged.

Mechanical Engineer

Assist in design and development of systems and components, review and verify design drawings and other technical documentation to ensure correctness and accuracy in form, fit and function. Document creation and work instruction creation for engineering, quality and fabrication departments for all stages of production. 3D solid modeling, ability to handle multiple design projects and interface with vendors required. BSME or equivalent knowledge.  Will train qualified candidate.

Micro-Manufacturing Assemblers

Self-motivated individuals to observe clean room requirements while handling, cleaning and assembling intricate components under a microscope.  Ability to learn and follow established procedures, problem solve, troubleshoot, multi-task, work independently and communicate effectively required. Must be organized, dependable, and have basic knowledge of Excel and Word.  Manufacturing background and use of small machines preferred.  Will train qualified individuals.

Vacuum Technician 

Mechanically inclined, detail oriented, self-starter with some knowledge of physics, UHV and electrical theory, to setup lab equipment for UHV testing. Must be safety conscious, organized and dependable. Will train qualified individual.
