The number of ports of a certain size immediately follow the letter.

Additional Conventions
A small "r" after the letter designates a rotatable flange.
A small "c" after the letter designates clear bolt holes.
A small "i" after the letter designates an irregular bolt pattern.
A small "e" after the letter designates an extended flange.
 
Examples
“Cr1”: (1) 2.75" rotatable CF Flange
“C2r1”: (2) 2.75" non-rotatable and (1) rotatable flange
“Cc1”: (1) 2.75" CF Flange with clear bolt holes
“C2c1”: (2) 2.75" CF w tapped bolt holes and (1) w clear holes
“C2i1”: (2) std 2.75" CF with tapped holes & (1) with an irregular bolt pattern
“MCF800M-“ : The “M” designates a chamber with metric tapped holes.

 

 

Example: MCF600-SphSq-F2C4A8

1. The largest port is a 6 CF flange, so the part number starts with MCF600.
2. It is a Spherical Square (SphSq).
3. The port sizes are represented by F2C4A8, because it has two 6.00"CF flanges, four 2.75"CF flanges and eight 1.33"CF flanges.

Caution: Always use silver plated bolts of the correct length, or damage may occur! Never use damaged bolts!
Silver plated bolt sizes listed are available through Kimball Physics Inc. and Duniway Stockroom Corp. (800) 446-8811.

When using Kimball Physics parts in combination with some other parts, particularly parts from other suppliers, bolt length is sometimes an issue. When tapped holes are not tapped deep enough, a bolt may collide with the bottom of a hole before the bolt becomes tight. One solution to this is to stack washers underneath bolt heads. Washers which fit the Kimball bolt cutouts are available, free of charge, upon request.
